HireAbility.com, a provider of recruitment services and software, is pleased to announce today the signing of a co-marketing agreement with LinkedIn, which has more than 2.3 million users.
Under the agreement, LinkedIn and HireAbility will promote each other on their respective websites with sponsored links, banner ads, newsletters, and email campaigns targeted to HireAbilityís recruiting network. HireAbilityís members will receive special volume pricing for job postings on LinkedIn, and LinkedIn will sponsor a series of webinars offered to HireAbilityís members and newsletter subscribers.
The two companies recognized the natural match of LinkedInís referral-based recruiting tool with HireAbilityís recruiting network. Both use technology to enhance professional networking. HireAbility offers a recruiting exchange network (in addition to technology, back-office services, and support) for independent recruiters, human resources departments, and staffing firms. LinkedInís referral-based recruiting system helps professionals find business partners, clients, service providers and job opportunities via introductions from their trusted contacts.
Craig Silverman, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for HireAbility remarked, Iíve been a user of LinkedIn for the past year, and the professionalism of the site and its services make LinkedIn a great way to connect recruiters with candidates and hiring managers. Through the HireAbility recruiting teamís efforts, we have placed several candidates identified via LinkedIn Jobs. We also have established new business relationships as a result of referrals through LinkedIn.
When a hiring manager, recruiter or HR employee posts a job on LinkedIn Jobs, the potential applicant can see the profile of the poster and of others at that company, and can use that information to help evaluate the company and the opportunity. When a candidate replies to a job posting, the person who posted the job receives not only the candidateís resume, but also their public endorsements and links to potential references.
Referral-based hiring is incredibly powerful, explains Robert Leathern, Director of Marketing for LinkedIn. According to CareerXRoads, finding an inside connection at a company who can refer you to the hiring manager can increase by 70 times the likelihood of being interviewed and hired. We believe that HireAbilityís network of recruitment professionals will benefit from this relationship, as will the LinkedIn users who want to advance their careers and strengthen their professional contacts.
