HDA ran an Effective Communication Event in central London

On 8 October, HDA ran an Effective Communication Event in central London for professionals working in HR, learning and development, talent management, recruitment, marketing and internal communications

HDA runs regular thought leadership briefings for senior HR decision makers around broad talent management, business and career transition, leadership and personal and HR commercial development themes.

On 8 October, HDA ran an Effective Communication Event in central London for professionals working in HR, learning and development, talent management, recruitment, marketing and internal communications. This interactive session focused on developing practical strategies for communicating more effectively with staff during times of change.

Themes covered:

1. How clear leadership, supportive management and excellent communications are required to engage staff and re-establish trust and elevate concerns over the future.

2. Managers and HR must develop the skills required to communicate effectively with staff; ensuring, where possible, that staff are involved in the decisions that may affect them.

Speaker
Sarah Lee, a Senior HDA Consultant, is a strong and successful negotiator and straight-forward communicator, she seeks to solve leadership and business problems and create a better understanding between corporates, senior management, their teams and their internal and external client-base.

Sarah is comfortable working at all management levels; with considerable senior and Board level experience, in areas such as identifying top teams for joint ventures both in the UK and internationally; leadership, executive and team coaching; and identifying and hiring talent from both internal and external pools.

In addition, Sarah has extensive experience working with organisations going through change (including M&A and joint ventures) and she has developed an in depth understanding of how to manage the knock on effects of these changes on employees.

Here is a sample of what the delegates of the event had to say about the Programme:

Improved confidence in our communications and a refresher of tools to use to improve communication at all levels. Also interesting to hear from others and the issues they face

Time out of the office to reflect on communication strategies.
