The south coastís leading human resources and recruitment experts are hosting the free seminar, which will explore ways to ensure that the individual hired is of best-fit for the business.

Entitled Perfecting Employee Selection the event is to be held at Hampshireís Rose Bowl on the 14 September. It is designed for managers who need to:

* Attract, select and retain the best high-potentials.

* Accurately match candidates to jobs and company culture.

* Reduce costly mis-hires, mis-matches and disruptions.

* Safeguard against legislation, disruptions and setbacks.

* Facilitate induction and assimilation.

* Create effective development and coaching programs.

The programme will be facilitated by recruitment and resource management expert Alan Dyer who has decades of experience running programmes with many of the Southís leading employers. He will explain the relationship between job competencies and assessments, as well as provide insight on a range of tools including psychometric assessments, people management, situation management, motivation and ability.

Alan explains: Using assessment and selection tools such as psychometric assessments can definitely make businesses more profitable. Putting science behind the recruitment process provides an objective, fair and quantifiable appraisal of a potential candidateís ability to be successful in a role. The seminar will provide delegates with a comprehensive guide to when and how assessment tools should be used.

A continental breakfast will be served at 08:00 and the meeting will begin promptly at 08:30. Formal presentations conclude at 10:00 and delegates will have the opportunity to complete an assessment or test of their choice, which is worth up to 200.
