Guildsrealm is delighted to celebrate 20 years of providing leading human resources and recruitment solutions to engineering, manufacturing and distribution firms across the south coast.

To celebrate the Group will be hosting a champagne cocktail party in the Spring to thank clients and friends who have helped Guildsrealm to become the regional leader in executive recruitment and HR Consultancy. The Group will also host a programme of free informative human resource and recruitment seminars during the year as a way of ëgiving something backí.

Established in 1986 by Miles Everingham and Ian Roberts (who retired in 2000), the Guildsrealm Group is headquartered on the south coast, employing 15 specialist consultants with an annual turnover of 1.25 million. The Group was founded to provide executive search and selection solutions to clients in the engineering and manufacturing sector and remains one of the longest established firms in its market. Specialising in the 40,000 - 140,000 salary range, appointments are typically heads of function and director level across operations, manufacturing, technology, supply chain management, sales, marketing and human resources. Over the years it has developed a strong client base working with many of the regions leaders including Pall Europe, Coopervision and Tyco Healthcare.

After its start as a specialist in executive recruitment solutions, Guildsrealm has continued to expand its range of services for the engineering and manufacturing sector. For instance, in 1997 the company became one of the first recruitment consultancies to introduce psychometric assessments as an integrated part of its candidate screening process. In 2004, Advanced Selection was formed to cater for the mid-level contract and permanent contingency recruitment market, differentiated by its commitment to highly targeted candidate short listing. Also, in 2004, the company launched GR Interim to provide interim managers for specialist projects or to fill sudden resource gaps. More recently, the Group launched Guildsrealm HR and Assessment Services providing generalist HR consultancy and occupational psychology services to clients always with the aim of providing a higher level of service and expertise than most agencies can deliver.

Looking back to the early days of Guildsrealm, Miles Everingham, Joint Managing Director, reflects on how far things have come: ìWe started the business focused on providing a highly focused executive ëmatch makingí service to clients and executives.
