Great Place to Work Institute Presenting at Networking Event

The Graziadio School of Business and Management and the Human Capital Institute (HCI), a professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that Hal Adler, senior consultant of the Great Place to Work Institute, will speak at the third program in a series of Human Capital Leadership events for the Southern California business community.

The networking breakfast event will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, at the Graziadio Schoolís West Los Angeles Graduate campus at the Howard Hughes Center located at 6100 Center Drive, Los Angeles, California 90045, Room 203, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. PT.

Adlerís presentation, Creating a Great Place to Work: Lessons from the 100 Best Companies to Work for in America, will provide an overview of the essential ingredients found in a great place to work. This session includes both individual and group-learning experiences designed to create a great place to work; addresses potential pitfalls; and spotlights the ways other companies have achieved great workplaces.

Hal Adler, a senior consultant with the Great Place to Work Institute, brings a broad base of knowledge and experience to his work with the Institute. His solutions-oriented, pragmatic approach to equipping organizations to make change has impacted companies across all industries. Adler, a dynamic trainer and consultant, is also known for his creative approach to skill building and instructional design.

His previous experience includes work with the Training Arts Institute, a training and development company he founded, as well as leadership positions with the Center for Talent Retention and Manpower.

Hal Adler is a regular keynote speaker and presenter with several San Francisco Workforce Development organizations, including Glide, Jewish Vocational Services, and the members of the San Francisco IT Consortium. He is on the board of directors of VOLTI, a non-profit new music ensemble, and maintains close ties to the San Francisco arts community.

Adlerís educational background includes an undergraduate degree in music and graduate work at The Boston Conservatory, where he studied conducting and education. It was at the Conservatory that Adler first recognized the critical role that trust between leaders and team members plays in the workplace transformation process.
