Government risks squandering opportunity to get more people back to work - CBI

.

Responding to comments this morning by Peter Hain, Work & Pensions Secretary, suggesting the bigger role proposed for the private sector in delivering welfare-to-work schemes will be scaled back, John Cridland, Deputy Director-General of the CBI, said:

The government risks squandering an opportunity to build on the private sector's proven track record of helping the long-term unemployed into a job.
