FirstAssist Services, the innovative Health and Wellbeing business, has appointed Ian Sparks as its Managing Director. At the same time other appointments to the FirstAssist Services Board have also been confirmed. Sir Tim Chessells has become Chairman and Tim Ablett and Catherine Wall have both taken up Non-Executive Director roles.
Ian Sparks brings a wealth of experience in business to business management to FirstAssist Services, with particular expertise in the essential area of delivering excellent customer service. Ian also has a strong understanding of the health and wellbeing marketplace, having previously held the position of Group Chief Executive at The Casella Group Limited, which offers a range of environmental and health and safety services in both the public and private sector.

Ian has also previously held roles at Cendant and Thomas Cook.
Sir Tim Chessells has been a Non Executive Director of the FirstAssist Group for the last 3 years and takes up the role of Chairman, for the separated FirstAssist Services business. He is joined by Non-Executive Directors, Tim Ablett, formerly Chief Executive of the FirstAssist Group and Catherine Walls, representing Barclays Private Equity.
