Ethical Corporation and Intertek announce Ethical Supply Chain conference alliance

.

Ethical Corporation, the leading global media and events company focused on corporate responsibility, and Intertek a leading provider of sustainability practices and solutions within international supply chains, today announced a strategic alliance to develop and host a series of global learning events for business on ethical supply chain risk and management.

A new division, Ethical Corporation Value Chain Conferences, will work in partnership with Intertek to design and deliver the Ethical Sourcing Forums for 2006 and 2007, in locations around the world.

The first event will be held in Paris on October 12 and 13 2006. Other events in the United States and in Asia will be announced soon.

The alliance builds on years of individual experience in bringing together top business leaders, policy makers, practioners and stakeholders into shared learning communities of practice by both Ethical Corporation and Intertek and enables both parties to build better future events for the CSR community.

The alliance also represents a significant first effort by leaders within the sector at addressing the need for consolidation in the rapidly increasing CSR conference market and places focus on creating enhanced benefits and improved value for each individual forum participant.

ìBy combining our supply chain events we are able to help consolidate the CSR market for business events, and provide better services and learning forums for companiesî said Ethical Corporation Founder Tobias Webb.

ìAddressing the need for building greater value forced us to change our thinking and understand we must work together to achieve common goals. The collaboration among Intertek and Ethical Corporation will create one the largest international community of practice reference points for social responsibility and environmental issues within the supply chain. More importantly, the alliance symbolizes the importance of collaboration among key industry partners for the benefit of advancement and aims to better harness leading practices across business, industries, and among varying stakeholders in support of supply chain sustainable development.î
