The 2005 CIPD Recruitment Marketing Awards, in partnership with the Guardian, were launched today. These annual awards promote innovative recruitment marketing solutions and raise standards across the industry.
Employment is at its highest since records began in 1971. In such a competitive market, employers need to work hard to attract the right people - CIPD research shows that over 85% of employers found it difficult to recruit last year. Launching the awards, Steve Halford, the Chair of Judges, comments: The finalists and winners of these awards have broken new ground every year, showing how the very best organisations combat recruitment difficulties - through genuinely inspired recruitment and employment communications.
This year, the awards include a new category - for Best Employer Brand Strategy. Attracting the best talent is now the key difference in markets saturated with similar products and comparable approaches. Which organisation this year will be awarded for developing and shaping their employer reputation among the UK workforce?
Halford adds: Last year’s entries included some of the most original work yet produced by the industry, with winners which showed how innovative organisations can improve their hiring activities. This year, these awards will be pushing back the boundaries still further.
Applications for the awards close on 30 March 2005. For more details, visit www.cipdguardianawards.co.uk for a complete list of categories and images of last year’s entries.
