Buddy Day - Try a job for size

Springboardís Buddy Day will soon be hitting the streets across the country and we want people everywhere to get involved in trying out a job in the Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism sectors. Buddy Day is all about highlighting what a great place the worldís fastest growing industry is to work in, and we need your help to make it happen.

Across the nation we want companies, organisations and individuals to get involved in seeing what a myriad of opportunities exist for people with drive, ambition and above all personality. Chief executives will be swapping jobs for the day to see what itís like with another company. Or theyíll be going back to the floor, doing things like delivering pizza or acting as a commis chef, to keep in touch with the grass roots of their company.

Students, unemployed, career changers, careers advisors, Jobcentre Plus staff and people planning to return to work can be invited to visit for the day, or maybe to shadow someone in their job to see what itís really like and what a company can offer career wise. Buddy Day will be showcasing this vibrant area, one which makes a significant contribution to the economy of the country and that is always on the lookout for people with flair and the right qualities to move it to even greater heights.
