Badenoch and Clark takes industry lead in embracing Web 2.0 environment

Badenoch and Clark has today announced a six-month advertising deal with JobTonic.com

Badenoch and Clark, the professional services recruitment consultancy, has today announced a six-month advertising deal with JobTonic.com - the UKís only online job board to take advantage of web surfersí social networks, by offering cash incentives for referring their contacts into jobs.

The recruitment firm marks this as an innovative move to reach candidates dubbed as ípassiveí job seekers by the industry. Angie Vocisano, of the firmís HR recruitment division, explains: The quality of referred candidates is significantly higher than those that qualify themselves for application. The likelihood of a recommended candidate being placed is high, and as a result recruitment companies are willing to pay a premium in attracting professional referrals.

Matt Norton, Web Marketing Executive for Badenoch and Clark comments: The recruitment market is historically slow at investing in new technologies. Here at Badenoch and Clark we value innovation as integral to our online strategy. The Web2 phenomenon is currently in its infancy, but itís imperative that weíre an early adopter of emerging technology like this. After all, our promise to clients is to reach quality candidates in the best ways we can.

Badenoch and Clark already offers referral opportunities via JobTonic.com for financial services roles, and will add further job specialisms in the weeks to come.
