Avanade UK selects Ian Jordan as new general manager

20-year Capgemini veteran appointed to lead operations in the UK

Avanade, the global IT consultancy dedicated to the Microsoft platform, has today announced the appointment of Ian Jordan as general manager for its UK business.

Following 19 years with Capgemini, where his last role in the UK was as head of its UK consulting business, Jordan brings significant industry experience and knowledge to Avanade. He will be responsible for leading the growth of Avanadeís business in the UK. Avanade has more than 7,500 professionals worldwide with over 600 staff working for customers in the UK business.

During his time with Capgemini, Jordan held a variety of positions across the UK, Europe and US. In the US, Ian was the divisional director of the South-East division of Capgemini Americas. After returning to the UK in 2000, Ian has held various leadership positions in Capgemini UK in the technology and consulting business. In December 2006, Ian was appointed to the management board of Capgemini in France with responsibility for the companyís global transformation programme (i3).
