Biscom, the Midlandsí leading specialist recruitment and training provider, has marked its recent acquisition by one of the worldís largest training organisations with the appointment of a new Managing Director.
Kay Sutton, who joined the organisation eight years ago, will be based at Biscomís head office in Chaplin Court, Birmingham.
Kay began her career at Biscom as a job matcher, but quickly progressed to deputy branch manager, branch manager, operations manager and operations director. She has an in-depth understanding of the business and brings a wealth of experience to her new role.
Reporting directly to the senior management team at ResCare Inc, based in Louisville, Kentucky, Kay will drive Biscomís continuing growth in the UK and Europe.
Biscom, which currently operates from six centres across the West Midlands, was established in 1992 and every year helps thousands of people to acquire new skills through tailor-made training programmes, enabling them to enter the job market. The company, which employs 250 members of staff, has major ongoing contracts with Job Centre Plus and the Learning and Skills Council.
In her new role Kay, aged 34, will be responsible for the strategic development of the business, as Biscom moves from being a regional, to a national and international provider of first-class, innovative recruitment and training.

With around 42,000 staff, ResCare is the largest provider of home care to the elderly and those with disabilities in the United States. It also offers residential and support services, provides education, vocational training and job placements for people of all ages and skill levels.
