Recruitment companies considering developing in Central Eastern Europe can look forward to some excellent recruitment talent joining their organisations. Thatís the opinion of Fiona Lander, Managing Director of performance development specialists Lander Associates.
ìCentral Eastern Europe has recognised the need to invest in the training and development of their recruitment teams to successfully grow their companies,î says Fiona. While in some ways they may not be as advanced as the west in some of their techniques, the recruitment sector is attracting the best talent. Consultants will typically speak two or three languages and hold high academic qualifications.î
ìOur Training Team has been working in Central Eastern Europe for ten years and have delivered programmes for our clients in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia, Poland and Slovakia.î adds Fiona. ìIn countries where the recruitment sector is fairly new to business such as Poland, a lot of our training has been focused around how to educate clients in using recruitment partners as a major resource. In countries where the recruitment sector is more established, like the Czech Republic and Hungary, it is recognised as a professional service like accountancy or consultancy and the training focuses more on business development skills ñ but east or west, the core competencies are the same for the recruitment consultant role.î
Avril Somerville, one of Lander Associatesí top trainers, is about to return to Bratislava for the second time in six months. ìWhatís fantastic,î says Avril, ìis that they all have a hunger to learn ñ they are some of the most enthusiastic delegates I have ever come across!î
Massive talent potential for recruiters in Central Eastern Europe says Lander Associates
