Booming business has resulted in Birmingham-based JS Wright bringing forward plans to boost its 100-strong workforce by 15 per cent.
The leading building services engineering firm is looking for up to 15 new recruits after it will have doubled its turnover to 18 million for 2007-2008 at the end of the third year of its ambitious five-year expansion plan.
J S Wright has made such major progress across all five of its commercial, hotel, residential student and leisure sectors that it is now on course to smash its 24 million turnover target for 2010/11.
The Portland Street firm is looking to recruit four site foremen, two service engineers, two contract managers, a CAD technician, a commercial designer, an estimating manager and a resident estimating engineer. It is also seeking to hire an administration clerk and a part-time telephonist/receptionist ñ and to take on a third technical apprentice.
Marcus Aniol, managing director of the Portland Street firm, said: ìWe originally planned to recruit the new staff in 2010 but our nationwide business has been so successful that we need new staff now.
ìWe have tremendous opportunities for people with the right attitude. Two of our board directors started as apprentices and we have four divisional directorships to fill over the next five years following a major restructuring.î
He added: ìWe offer superb working conditions in modern centrally located offices and we try to ensure that all staff enjoy a satisfying work/life balance. We also provide our people with personal development training, and a professional masseuse.î
JS Wrightís order book has been boosted this year with more that 12 million worth of new contracts, including a 1.1 million deal to fit out the UKís first combined Ibis and Etap hotel at Birmingham International Airport.
Other contracts include a 750-room student residence in Birmingham, four residential projects in London, new Novotel schemes in Paddington and Liverpool, and a leisure centre in Watford.
