A fraudster who stole millions in credit card scams, often using false identities, will return to one of the 5 star hotels he duped to give an insiderís view at the 1st European Summit on Identity ñ Identity Matters. In a Catch Me If You Can style story, Elliot Castro lived the high life for more than five years funded by identity and card frauds, staying in hotels from Beverley Hills to Bond Street and including Londonís Langham Hotel ñ the venue for Identity Matters on November 20 to 21.
Elliot, who, with journalist Neil Forsyth, has penned his exploits into a best selling book, Other Peopleís Money, travelled first class and blew a small fortune on designer clothes and champagne, luxury goods and hotels. Time after time Elliot managed to wriggle free of the numerous authorities who were on his tail, juggling aliases and lying to family and friends, until he was tracked down by Police. Elliot and Neil are attending Identity Matters to answer questions on how identity fraudsters operate ñ and the loopholes they seek to exploit in todayís business world. A signed copy of Other Peopleís Money will also be available to every confirmed delegate.
The European Summit on Identity, supported by government, law enforcement agencies, large corporates and consumer bodies alike, includes delegates from across all sectors from banking to online gaming, social networking to money transfer firms who will gather to hear world class speakers address the whole issue of identity ñ and why it matters.
Delegates can book places at the Summit at www.identity-matters.co.uk, ensuring they are at the heart of the discussions on how to protect customer and employee identity ñ and enhance their brand identity - through better business practices. GB Group plc, the worldís leading provider of online identity verification technologies, was the first sponsor of Identity Matters.
Richard Law, CEO of the Chester based plc, said:
ìWe are delighted that Elliot Castro has agreed to share his insights into where businesses are exposed ñ and how fraudsters seek to exploit these weaknesses. His story is both an insightful and entertaining insiderís view into credit card security. It is an issue that is dear to the heart of many of our own clients and we are working with them to reduce their exposure to risk across all channels. By supporting Identity Matters we are encouraging organisations to understand the issues relating to customer acquisition ñ and enabling them to make better, more informed business decisions.î
Organisers state that Identity Matters is the ëmust attendí event for organisations that want to stay ahead on matters related to identity management, risk and fraud prevention. Significant early bird discounts are available until the end of July and places are selling fast.
