On target with 'mission possible'

.

In recognition of the fundraising efforts made by Robert Half for Teenager Cancer Trust, Managing Directors David Jones and Phil Sheridan were recently invited to a Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) hosted drinks reception with Gordon Brown, at No 11 Downing Street.

The reception marked the enormous contribution of TCT to delivering improved cancer services within the NHS for teenagers and young people and was an opportunity to showcase the support and fundraising activities by its corporate sponsors.

Over the past four months, Robert Half has raised over 30,000 which goes towards its overall target of raising 100,000 in 12 months ñ a challenge named ëMission: Possible.í The funds raised will enable TCT to install a Day Room in the new Teenage Cancer Trust ward currently being built at Birmingham Childrenís Hospital.

David Jones commented:

ìWe are very proud of our team for their unflagging commitment and efforts towards Teenage Cancer Trust. We are delighted to be associated with TCT and are keen to show our support in making a real difference to the lives of teenagers with cancer.î

Phil Sheridan said:

ìTCT has clearly shown the value and importance it places on our 100,000 mission and weíre more than keen to work with them to help teenagers with cancer. Our staff have enthusiastically embraced the challenge of reaching our goal and have been actively dedicating their time and energy towards various fundraising initiatives throughout the year.î

Staff across the various branches in the UK have been outdoing each other in their fundraising efforts to raise money for the charity. In the past month, members of staff took part in the Blenheim Triathlon raising almost 5,000 whilst the individual branches have contributed greatly through successful quiz nights, golf days, marathons, raffles, auctions and race nights.
