New Partnership strengthens regional, sector and national reach across Jobsite and Northcliffe Mediaís ëthis isí network

Jobsite will become the national recruitment partner of Northcliffe Mediaís ëthis isí

network of 36 local newspaper websites (eg. www.thisisbristol.co.uk). The agreement enables cross posting of job vacancies between the two sites, bringing together the national and multi sector strength of Jobsite with the local focus of Northcliffe Mediaís ëthis isí network.

Under the new partnership, jobs posted to the ëthis isí network will also be available on Jobsite.co.uk and the Jobsite network, providing ëthis isí recruiters with access to a potential two million unique Jobsite network users and crucially, to sector specific job hunters. Jobsite recruiters will also benefit, as their vacancies will automatically also be cross posted to the ëthis isí network, increasing vacancy exposure to relevant local job hunters, enhancing reach and potentially the number of successful placements.

With only 1% existing candidate cross over, Jobsite and ëthis isí believe the new partnership will drive new and different job seekers to the vacancies. The announcement follows a highly successful three month trial, which saw all applicable Jobsite vacancies posted to local ëthis isí sites, creating an uplift of 20,000 applications for Jobsite vacancies during the month of February alone.

Commenting on the partnership Michael Pelosi of Northcliffe Media says: ìThe deal enhances our recruitment proposition for advertisers and job seekers. Recruiters will have access to the unrivalled combination of the reach of our local newspapers and websites, together with the brand equity and nationwide coverage of Jobsite, which is one of the leading online recruitment specialists.î

Jobsite Managing Director, Keith Potts, says: ìThe vast majority of us still tend to live, socialise, buy homes and raise our families within a 20 mile radius of where we are born and 90% of job seeking happens within a 15 mile radius of our home. At the same time 41% of us now use the internet to find a job. Through this important new partnership Jobsite can provide its recruiters with an increased pool of relevant local talent and our job hunters with a significant increase in the number of relevant local jobs.î

A heavyweight marketing and promotion campaign to drive job hunters to the 36 local sites that make up the ëthis isí network, including SEO, pay per click marketing and an extensive advertising campaign, will go live to support the launch on the 9th May.

The new partnership brings together the recruitment and media expertise within the DMGT group to offer Jobsite and Northcliffe customers greater economies of scale, increased geographic and sector specific penetration, new audience reach and an increased range of jobs on offer.
