SecsintheCity.com makes a move on Manchester

SecsintheCity.com is making a move on Manchester and will liven up the city centre with its cheeky advertising campaign during May 07.

SecsintheCity.com (http://www.secsinthecity.com), the UKís job board for secretaries, PAs, admin and office staff, is making a move on Manchester and will liven up the city centre with its cheeky advertising campaign during May 07. The idea is to drive relevant employees to the online job board, which provides regional recruiters with the space to promote their positions.

ìManchester is our key focus this May, and we believe thereís significant scope to improve the job listings and candidate numbers,î explains Steve Arnold, general manager of SecsintheCity.com.

The ìLove Secs. HateÖî campaign will feature on promo bikes and trams as well as local radio, and will inject a little humour into the busy centre. Says Steve: The approach plays on our name but not on the level of professionalism and services we provide.

A NORAS 2006 survey claimed that 86% of users have applied for a job they found online, 65% of users have obtained an interview through applying for a job online, and 56% have been offered a job through applying online. This trend is set to increase as companies and recruiters move more of their business online and away from traditional recruitment advertising, such as print. And this is where SecsintheCity.com comes in, says Steve.
