ìVicky is a highly respected and experienced member of the HR profession, with substantial board level business experience. The knowledge and experience she has built up during an illustrious career will be a great asset to the CIPD during the time she serves as our President. I am delighted to welcome Vicky to the role, and look forward to working with her to continue to raise standards of people management and development across all sectors of the economy and serve the HR profession.î

In her opening address to delegates at the CIPD annual conference, Vicky Wright, President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), outlined the significant challenges facing personnel and development professionals:

ìChief executives are now more aware than ever of the critical importance of getting the people dimension of their businesses right. The challenge for human resource professionals is to raise their game to deliver the performance expected of them.
