Jobs.com.au - The ëVirgin Blueí of the Employment Industry

Jobs.com.au has thrown down the gauntlet to traditional industry players to add more value to job hunters and employers

Jobs.com.au, the revolutionary new player in the employment industry has thrown down the gauntlet to traditional industry players to add more value to job hunters and employers.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Ed LaPerle Douglas, Jobs.com.au is positioning itself as the ëVirgin Blueí of the employment and recruitment industry.

ìJobs.com.au brings a whole new competitive edge and friendly, fun attitude to the employment industry in the same way that Virgin Blue brought significant change to the airline industry.î said Mr LaPerle.

ìWe have learnt a lot from the Virgin Blue team as it successfully influenced and then changed a sometimes pompous and over priced service industry into a far more competitive, customer friendly industry. And the great thing is that, in the end, the consumer has been the real winner.î

ìJobs.com.au is determined to be the catalyst for a similar change in the employment and recruitment industry, and once again the end consumer will be the big winner.î said Mr LaPerle

Jobs.com.au launched in late April and had an exceptional start to business with over 6 million hits to it website in its first week of operation. Since then, it has attracted more than 150, 000 members.

The companyís unique database search technology works completely differently to the traditional job boards and recruitment companies, extracting and matching jobs skills a candidateís skills rather than merely identifying job titles. This means a candidate may be presented with job opportunities in an industry or field that they had previously never considered.

According to Mr LaPerle, the change has been coming for sometime. The employment industry has grown exponentially and now turns over in excess of $16 billion per annum in Australia, more than both the legal and accounting industries.

ìWe are now calling the industry to task.î said Mr LaPerle. ìItís time to change and add more value to clients and candidates.î
