Dan Pink to Present Human Capital Institute Webcast on June 27

The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a global professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that Dan Pink, author, journalist, and lecturer, will host an HCI Masters Series webcast on Tuesday June 27, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM ET.

In his presentation, titled A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future, Pink will share survey evidence from three continents to explain the new rules of individual achievement and organizational performance. He’ll show why logical, linear, left-brain skills are necessary but no longer sufficient, and why artistic, empathic, right-brain abilities are what determines who flourishes and who flounders.

There are essentially two forces dramatically affecting the workplace today-and the way people will work in the future. One is technology and the other is globalization. Software can automate much of the work lawyers, accountants, and other professionals do. Meanwhile, talented people in Asia can perform white-collar tasks for one-fifth the cost in the U.S. and Europe.

Pink’s presentation is based on his most recent book of the same title. A Whole New Mind explores the six essential aptitudes white-collar workers must master in an outsourced, automated world.
