Lucas Group, a respected company in professional recruiting, reports attendance is up 20 percent (Oct. 1, 2004 ñ Oct. 1, 2005) over last year for its Military Hiring Conferences.
Lucas Group Military Hiring Conferences serve as a networking venue for corporations and prospective employees. The events, which occur three or four times a month, are great avenues for former military candidates to begin their transition into corporate America.
The candidates are pre-screened by Lucas Group executive search consultants and selected to complete interview processes with top companies around the nation at the conference. Each attending corporation interviews eight to 12 candidates and each candidate has six to eight interviews.
ìCorporate client attendance at our Military Hiring Conferences is driven by overall economic conditions,î said Bryan Zawikowski, former Air Force officer and division director of Lucas Groupís Military division. ìGDP growth, corporate profits and employment data have all been very positive over the past several years. We have seen a positive trend since 2004 when companies realized they needed to stay ahead of the curve when hiring talent.î
The average number of clients attending Lucas Group Military Hiring Conferences has increased by more than 10 per conference in each of the past two years.
ìOur conferences are very successful,î said Zawikowski. ìItís a very productive process that benefits both parties. We typically have 65-75 percent returning companies. In many cases, the interviewers and hiring managers are people we helped place years earlier, which is a testament to the type of talent we bring to the table.î
