The BPMA took part in a series of exhibitions at airports around the UK organized by the APG (Advertising Products Group). More than 500 people visited the shows in Glasgow, Manchester, Heathrow, Stansted and Dublin.
The shows were timed right at the start of the run up to Christmas - a key time for distributors to get products in front of as many clients as possible and a good time to start previewing new products for 2006.
Charles Booth, Chairman of APG and Managing Director of Booth Brothers Ltd said, We have been delighted by the response to the shows from the visitors. It is safe to say that the venture has been a great success.
Nigel Bailey, Business Development Manager at Listawood and Air Show co-ordinator said, The shows have been fantastic. We will be doing it again next year, bigger and better; I must pay tribute to my fellow suppliers who have put in a lot of time and effort to be at all the shows.
Furthermore, the BPMA attended the Promotional Merchandise Exhibition (PME) at Stoneleigh Park Exhibition and Conference Centre in Coventry on 16 August. The event was very busy and a huge success for the BPMA. There was a new shell scheme in place and both exhibitors and visitors enjoyed a busy and industrious day. Many visitors commented that as a result of the show they will be encouraged to increase their activity in the promotional merchandise trade, which can only be a benefit to the industry as a whole.
