PeopleBank dressed to the nines

Online recruitment is now as simple as using Google

PeopleBank, the UKís provider of talent banking solutions has today announced the launch of PeopleBank version 9.0, heralding powerful new features to help employers hire more effectively at lower cost.

Central to this product release is ìTalent Bankî, a private company database for all external and internal candidates which can be searched in the same way that internet users would use Google. Employers simply login and type the skills and experience they are looking for and the most suitable candidates will be ranked accordingly. A simple click then reveals a complete candidate profile, attached CV, application history, interview notes and in the case of existing employees, grading and appraisals.

ìOnline recruitment technology is now seen as an essential tool for employersî, commented Julian Phillips, Managing Director of PeopleBank, ìbut often, the software is overly complicated and intimidating, and as a result, is not used widely enough to maximise return on investment. Everybody (including my six year old daughter) knows how to type words into Google to get what they want from the internet, so we are giving our customers that very same experience.î

ìIn effect weíre giving customers their own online CV database, which enables hiring managers to quickly search the many thousands of candidates already available before embarking on expensive advertising campaigns or agency assignment. When an employer now says ìweíll keep your CV on fileî, they actually mean it,î Phillips added.

In addition to ìTalent Bankî, version 9.0 also includes integrated psychometric testing and candidate profiling to help employers shortlist more effectively and online interview scheduling which connects to MS Outlook and Lotus Notes calendars. Furthermore, PeopleBank has gained HR-XML Consortium certification, enabling integration with other technology platforms such as Oracle, SAP and Peoplesoft.

PeopleBank also announces a new commercial model designed to help customers budget for technology more effectively. Unlike most of its competitors who charge for implementation and licence fees up front, PeopleBank charge on a monthly payment plan, enabling customers to spread the costs over the year. ìIn most cases,î observed Julian Phillips, ìcustomers only have to save on a single recruitment fee per month before Peoplebank starts paying for itself.î

ìAt PeopleBank, we believe in simplicity; powerful technology which is straight-forward to access and simple to use, uncomplicated and easy to afford.î
