A special Executive Diversity Career Opportunities Fair, which will focus on helping companies attract executive diversity candidates and women, will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2005, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Chicago. The fair will be hosted by CareerJournal.com, The Wall Street Journalís executive career site; CollegeJournal.com, The Wall Street Journalís site for executive-track M.B.A. students and recent graduates; and Lucas Group, an international executive-search firm headquartered in Atlanta.
The free event offers candidates the opportunity to interview with top companies, as well as attend free career-management seminars and receive free resume critiques. Top employers in a range of industries will attend. Employers that have attended in the past include: AT&T, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Freddie Mac, Moodyís Investors Service, the Vanguard Group, Wachovia Bank, Allstate, Merrill Lynch, Standard & Poorís, Citigroup, UnitedHealth Group, Wellpoint, Aon Corp., Ernst & Young and others.
Preregistration for the fair is not required. All attendees, who must bring copies of their resume, can register on site the day of the event, which will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel Downtown, 600 North State Street, in Chicago.
