A new Brighton-based online recruitment company is pioneering exciting new ways for businesses and candidates to advertise and apply for jobs online. Zapwork Ltd launches their new online procurement service which allows candidates to post online CVs and competitively bid for work opportunities that are posted by businesses and agents for free. Zapwork also uses an innovative optional rating system, enabling businesses and workers to rate each other and develop an online profile.
Zapwork is an online procurement service that enables direct communication instantly between prospective employees and businesses. With this unique system you can browse CVs and jobs/projects and make an application online with just one click. When a job/project is posted the business has the option to enable bidding. This allows the workers applying for the job to fill in their wage expectations by making a competitive bid which they may re-edit at any time. They may also view other bids which offers a level of competitive bidding never seen before with online recruitment in the UK.
Zapwork also has a powerful search facility allowing businesses to locate candidates by searching under specific criteria such as education institutions or previous work placements. Once located, businesses may invite those workers to bid or apply for posted jobs. This enables businesses to pro-actively initiate contact with candidates based on very specific criteria.
The contact details of a business and candidate are not released until requested by the respective parties. Zapwork will charge a nominal fee of 5 to a business for the exchange of contact details and there is also a 1% commission which applies to full-time, contract or fee based jobs where a formal offer of engagement is made and accepted.
Zapwork is revolutionising the online procurement process. Rather than businesses or agents paying in advance to advertise positions Zapwork only charges once businesses have found likely candidates and once they are accepted to fill a position.
Commenting on the launch, Zapwork Managing Director Mark Mitchell said, ìWe believe results are what count as demonstrated by our philosophy of allowing the free posting and viewing of CVs, jobs and projects on our system. Our ambition is to save companies and agents millions of pounds by switching from the traditional ëpay to advertiseí route into a more pro-active and result driven fee arrangement.î
He added, ìThe service is totally free for Zapworkers as the company is absolutely committed to providing the best opportunities for those seeking employment within a very competitive market.î
Zapwork also allows users to rate each other. The ratings are based on a scale of one to five and relate specifically to categories relevant to the type of user. For example a business procuring services could be rated based upon specific categories such as ëPayment Satisfactioní and ëEnvironmentí; while a candidate could be rated on ëDeadline Adherenceí and ëProfessionalismí. The ratings are optional and are not required by either party - although they can be a great way to create a positive profile online, attracting more work for the candidate or higher quality applicants for a business. This would be especially useful for contractors or fee-based workers.
The combination of bidding, result-driven fees and ratings make Zapwork a truly original contender in the online procurement market. Zapworkís powerful search and pro-active functionality will expand the scope for agents and businesses to find high quality candidates with the right skills for the job.
