Latest UK regional trade estimates show the value of total exports between Quarter two 2004 and Quarter three 2004 rose for Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, London, the South East, the South West and Wales. UK trade estimates for UK Exports to the EU25 fell by 1,037m between Quarter two 2004 and Quarter three 2004. Only one region, the East Midlands, showed an increase in exports to EU25. During the same period exports to countries outside the EU25 rose by 870m, with increases to all but one of the countries and regions within the UK. Exports to countries outside the EU25 from the West Midlands decreased by 125m. The value of total imports between Quarter two and Quarter three 2004 increased for the North East, the North West, London, the South East, the South West and Wales.
Imports into the UK from EU25 between Quarter two 2004 and Quarter three 2004 saw a fall of 1,516m, with only the North East and the South East experiencing an increase. For Imports from countries outside EU25 there was an increase of 1,420m, although Imports to the East of England fell by 523m.
