GCS launches new division to cut recruitment costs

UK specialists IT recruitment consultancy, GCS Recruitment Services, is launching a new managed services division to help companies cut the cost of employing agency staff

UK specialists IT recruitment consultancy, GCS Recruitment Services, is launching a new managed services division to help companies cut the cost of employing agency staff.

Headed by Kevin Logan, an industry professional who has just joined GCS Recruitment Services with more than 20 yearsí experience of technology, HR and recruitment, the team will be focusing on delivering substantial savings for businesses.

ìBy introducing a managed services solution to meet our clientsí needs, we can help them reduce their overall annual spend on recruitment by at least 10% a year,î said Kevin. ìWhen you consider some companiesí recruitment budget is in excess of 5 million a year, that is a very significant saving. At a time when IT recruitment is on the increase again we can ensure they get the right person for the right job, at the right price.î

Kevin, who has previously worked in IT and management consultancy roles for blue chip companies including Allied Dunbar, BT and NatWest, has a successful track record in building preferred supplier and master vendor relationships with many large organisations.

He adds: ìGCS Recruitment Servicesí expertise and track record enables us to identify opportunities for savings and to work with clients to streamline the way their recruitment is handled. In doing so, we can deliver real savings and provide a better and more efficient service at the same time.î

The new division will see GCS Recruitment Services developing a lead role as preferred supplier to its clients, but working with a network of other agencies to keep costs down.

The launch of the managed services division comes as the consultancy celebrates its 15th anniversary and sees Kevin being joined by Elizabeth Kamm and Grahame Winman.

Elizabeth has played a key role in building GCS Recruitment Services ’ profile in both the Thames Valley and London over the last five years, and has an excellent understanding of client requirements combined with extensive account management skills.

With more than eight yearsí experience in recruitment, sales management and training in the IT and telecoms markets, Grahame has worked with major players including Cisco, Nokia, Vodafone and Siemens and joined GCS Recruitment Services early in 2004.

Chris Bartlett, founder and director of GCS Recruitment Services, said: ìWe have a huge amount of experience and understanding of the IT recruitment market and it is this resource which the managed services division will be building on.

ìBy working in close partnership with our clients we will be able to provide unrivalled services and implement improved processes which will ensure savings can be made.î

The managed services division will operate alongside the existing contracts and permanent recruitment teams at GCS Recruitment Servicesí offices in Reading and London and the new appointments bring the number of staff up to 60.
