The Bath and Bristol franchises of Prestige Nursing takes on Webroster’s eSentinel system

For their rostering, scheduling and payroll needs

The Bath and Bristol franchises of Prestige Nursing, one of the UK’s largest nursing agencies, takes on Webroster’s eSentinel system for their rostering, scheduling and payroll needs

Prestige Nursing is one of the UK’s largest private nursing and care agencies and has specialised in the supply of temporary nursing and care staff to the healthcare industry in both the NHS and private sector. The company prides itself on delivering a high quality personalised service through its national network of branches.

At the Bristol and Bath franchises of Prestige Nursing they manage a high level of nursing staff and deal with a broad range of customers across the area. In order to offer their customers a total healthcare requirement solution they need to have an appropriate workable rostering system in place.

Previously these offices did have an operative administration system for the rostering of staff and the maintenance of bookings, however they encountered problems with producing high quality accurate invoicing. In addition, the booking system needed to be more effective, especially with the increase in staff and customers. It became evident that a new system needed to be introduced in order to cope with the high level of administration. Webroster’s eSentinel was a resource package that would enable them to modify and update their rostering system accordingly.

With two sites to manage, it is important to make sure that work is monitored correctly and accurately. The eSentinel system seemed to have the capabilities to meet with our objectives. It is important to Prestige Nursing that we deliver a high quality, personalised service to our customers. In order to achieve this, we need to make sure that the systems we have in place work effectively. Explained Robert Sage Prestige Nursingís Bath and Bristol franchisee.

Webroster’s eSentinel system enables companies to have a front office Work Force Management software solution, whilst incorporating back office functionality that facilitates timesheet verification, invoicing & payroll generation. eSentinel Roster uses visual client, staff & external organisation rosters for the assignment & maintenance of bookings, and a search engine then matches staff to client requirements. Matches can be based upon many criteria such as availability, skill sets, geographical location, client requirements plus others.

This was one factor of great benefit to the Bath and Bristol offices of Prestige Nursing, enabling it to manage its bookings more efficiently especially when it is dealing with a broad range of clients with different demands, as well as staff with varying qualifications and experience.

Robert Sage said, After using and working with eSentinel we have found that it meets our objectives. eSentinel has improved our booking system which has been essential in the day to day running of the business. The system enables client inquiries to be handled with ease by matching client requests with the relevant staff members. eSentinel also keeps a record of all staff qualifications, and is capable of logging their availability and locality. The system is simple and effective and bookings can be processed and allocated in no time at all. He went on to say It has also made it considerably easier to produce gross pay slips and high quality invoicing which is essential in making sure we keep our clients and staff happy. Not only has eSentinel ensured that all information is accurate but it has also enabled us to streamline procedures and manage staff more effectively, which in the long term will be of great value to the business.

Installation of the eSentinel system is quick and easy to implement, designed to cause the minimum of upheaval to any organisation. The system is constructed to help with all scheduling, rostering and payroll issues, but relies on staff to use the system correctly for all to gain benefit.

Robert Sage explained eSentinel has proved to be not only cost-effective, but more importantly, it has greatly improved the level of service we have been able to offer. We currently have no plans to extend the system, as we have enough terminals to adequately cope with the level of work, but the eSentinel system has become an indispensable part of our day-to-day work and we will certainly be using it for the foreseeable futureî.
