Scottish hospitality employers ask employees ñ just how good are we?

Hospitality employers from across Scotland are set to test their worth in the inaugural Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2010 - Scotland

Hospitality employers from across Scotland are set to test their worth in the inaugural Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2010 - Scotland. These new industry awards, run by Caterer.com, are a celebration of the best employers in the industry, and to find out who makes the grade, we’ve turned to the best judges you could ask for — their employees.

Open to all Scottish hospitality employers, the awards are free to enter and will give a snapshot of the best places to work in Scottish hospitality. Each employer that enters will receive a free copy of their employee engagement results.

Employers enter via the website www.bestemployersinhospitality.com and receive a customised online form provided by learnpurple. Employees then use the form to answer a series of work- related questions. This will provide a ranking, determining the 12 category winners, the Top 30 employers, and the best overall employer in Scottish hospitality.

With an estimated 70% of UK employees aiming to change jobs as we emerge from recession (source: Personnel Today), hospitality employers are squaring up to the challenge of attracting and holding onto talent, and being crowned a best employer will make all the difference.

The Best Employers in Hospitality Awards 2010 – Scotland will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony and celebration dinner at Prestonfield House, Edinburgh on 28th September 2010, and will be attended by 400 industry professionals.

Entries are flying in, and as a result, the deadline for employee submissions has been extended to 19th August 2010 to allow employers to take maximum advantage. For more information and entries, visit www.bestemployersinhospitality.com
