www.bluecollar.com.au announces recruiting shortfall

.

www.bluecollar.com.au today announced that it is actively looking at ways to help overcome the severe skills shortage in the Australia workforce for bluecollar trades. Chris Mckay ñ The CEO of bluecollar said that over the last few months bluecollar have had approaches from large employers who are having difficulties in finding workers in the mining / construction & engineering fields for boilermakers / welders / fitters & most skilled trades.

It is estimated that at present there are over 3,000 tradesí positions that remain unfilled & this will more than treble in the mid term. bluecollar is actively going to seek out alliances with overseas jobs sites in the bluecollar space & particular emphasis will be put into England / Scotland / Ireland / South Africa / Eastern Europe & parts of Asia ñ all countries that it is believed have highly skilled trades people who could be interested in working in Australia.

Mckay further commented that The Australian Government has acknowledged the difficulty in sourcing these workers & is making it easier from an immigration guidelines perspective for prospective workers to get work permits & entry visas. bluecollar will be doing as much as we can to ensure that major projects arenít mothballed or delayed by a lack of skilled workers.
