The cream of the UK training industry gathered last night for an evening of celebration and success at the World of Learning Awards 2006.

The black-tie event at the NEC Birmingham - a sell-out with more than 450 guests - was hosted by actress, comedienne and impressionist Caroline Bernstein. It was a resounding success, showcasing the very best new learning initiatives and venues of 2006 and individuals whose outstanding achievements have notably improved workplace productivity and performance.

Guests were treated to an evening of glitz and glamour enjoying a champagne reception, sumptuous four-course dinner and dancing into the early hours.

The Awards were hosted by actress, comedienne and impressionist Caroline Bernstein and the winners were as follows:

Bespoke Solution of the Year (sponsored by Melville Exhibition Services) This category recognises a tailor-made solution or programme that has had a major positive impact on the commissioning organisation.

Blended Solution of the Year (sponsored by Academee)
This category highlighted a blended solution or programme that has been formulated to meet real business needs.

One of the key judging criteria for this category was the ease with which a generic product or programme could be adapted for a variety of organisations and/or situations with significant demonstrable results.
