Workopolis appoints Pat Sullivan as President

Canada

Former toronto.com Executive Will Focus On Continuing Workopolis'' Growth and Success

The Board of Directors of Workopolis, Canada''s
leading provider of recruitment and job search solutions, today announced that Pat Sullivan has been appointed President of Workopolis.

Sullivan has been President and Chief Operating Officer of toronto.com, Canada''s leading online city guide and local directory, since 1999. Prior to that, he held executive and brand management positions with companies including Procter & Gamble, Moosehead Breweries Ltd., Indigo Books, Music and
Caf, McCain Foods, and Ault Foods. Sullivan is on the board of Toronto Entertainment District Association, and is online media chair of the Toronto Tourism Coalition to Assist Toronto Recovery. He holds a Bachelor of Business
Administration from Mount Saint Vincent University

I am extremely excited to be joining Workopolis, which is one of Canada''s best new media success stories, said Sullivan. There is a strong business model and an excellent team in place at Workopolis. I''m looking
forward to continuing the momentum that''s already been established, and taking the business forward to achieve even greater growth and success.

Sullivan succeeds Kim Peters who has been President of Workopolis since its launch in January, 2000, and prior to that managed globecareers.com, the Globe and Mail jobs Web site, which was the foundation of Workopolis. Today,
Workopolis is a partnership of three Canadian media companies, The Globe and Mail division of Bell Globemedia (40% share), Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd. (40% share) and Gesca Ltd., the newspaper publishing subsidiary of Power
Corporation of Canada (20% share.) Kim has done an outstanding job establishing Workopolis as a strong and
stable business, said Phillip Crawley, Publisher and CEO, The Globe and Mail, and Co-chair of the Workopolis Board of Directors. Workopolis became profitable in only its second year of operation and is a rare example of a successful online business.

The shareholders of Workopolis are committed to long-term growth for the business, said Tomer Strolight, Managing Director, Corporate Development, Torstar Corporation, and Co-chair of the Workopolis Board. Kim has done an
outstanding job bringing the business to this point, and now the baton is being passed to Pat to drive the next phase of development.

Since its launch, Workopolis has grown significantly and today offers Internet recruiting and job search solutions to large and small Canadian companies, including a fully bilingual suite of award-winning applications,
products and services. Last year alone, Workopolis posted more than 300,000 jobs for more than 30,000 companies.

Workopolis three main lines of business are:
workopolis.com(TM), Canada''s biggest job site-with an average of 31,000 job postings daily;

workopolisCampus.com, Canada''s biggest job site for students and recent graduates;

CorporateWorks(TM), a Web-based recruiting management solution using the tools and technology that power workopolis.com to power corporate career sites

Workopolis has offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Guelph, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
