Wilson James, a leading provider of security, logistics and business support services, has bought HR software from Snowdrop to manage the records of its 1800 employees across 100 sites in the UK.
Wilson James will be implementing Snowdropís Evergreen (personnel records management) module to replace its existing paper-based files. The software will be accessed by 15 users in the HR team and link to Wilson Jamesí Payroll and Time & Attendance software systems, preventing dual entry of data.
The HR team chose Snowdrop under a recommendation from Armstrong Consultants, whose clients had successfully been able to link from Snowdrop to its hosted Access Payroll software. Gemma Quirke, HR Director for Wilson James, had also had previous awareness of Snowdrop from the HR Forum, held annually on the Aurora.
With Snowdrop, the HR team hopes to dramatically improve its management of employee data, allowing the production of more accurate and timely information and better management reports. The system will also be invaluable in ensuring legislative compliance, vital within the construction and security industries.
The software will also enable operational team leaders to manage their staff better. For the security side of the business it will be particularly beneficial in keeping in line with licensing regulations.
Gemma Quirke comments: ìHaving an electronic HR system will help us address the whole range of HR matters and spend much less time on onerous and unnecessary administration. It will also help us monitor our CSR and compliance objectives and provide valuable real time information to our front-line managers.î
