Vertafore Benefits, a provider of software and automation services for employee benefits brokers, announced today the appointment of Joseph Thomas as vice president of sales and marketing. In this role, Thomas will have overall responsibility for the sales and marketing of Vertafore Benefitsí products and services to the employee benefits brokerage industry.
Thomas has nearly 12 years of experience in the sales and marketing of technology solutions to the group insurance and human resource marketplace. Prior to joining Vertafore Benefits, he was the director of sales for Comm5 Web Systems, a developer and provider of web-based technology services and products. Thomas has also held sales and management positions with ADP and Lawson Software.

He earned a B.A. degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Thomas will be based in Vertafore Benefitsí Eden Prairie, MN office.
