Unique software update will reduce administration times for recruiters

Recruiters increasingly tied down by administration will be set free with a unique software update from rapid recruitment software, Mercury xRM.

The new release of Mercury xRM features Candidate and Client Portals, which will enable candidates to self-serve compliance information and supporting documents. This will both reduce administration times and reduce the risks associated with non-compliant paperwork for recruiters.

Most recruitment businesses either have no online compliance or portal technology for their candidates and clients to interact with them, or use stand-alone, non-integrated solutions which still leave loose ends and duplicated efforts.

The Candidate and Client portals will be officially launched as a function within Mercury xRM in September 2014, available to all existing Mercury xRM customers as a free upgrade. It has been developed in response to demand from recruiters after a recent poll carried out by the company found that too much administration is one of the biggest challenges facing recruiters this year.

As part of the new update candidates will be responsible for ensuring key compliance information, which can include ID, Visa, insurance certifications, limited company details and industry related qualifications, are up-to-date and compliant with both employer guidelines and Government Right to Work regulations. This will put recruitment agencies in control of validating candidate information and reduce the associated risk of penalties should the information not comply with strict industry rules and regulations.

UK Government regulations can enforce significant fines on employers, including recruiters, for each employee who does not hold the correct documentation relating to both personal identification documents and qualification documents. Alongside this fine Government regulations can also inflict much stricter consequences on employers and recruiters who knowingly employ illegal workers.

Additional functionality available to portal users is the update of their information directly within their records, CV updates as well as vacancy and assignment visibility.

Mark Britton, Marketing Manager at Mercury xRM believes that this new update will free up recruiters from administration work and help to make the recruitment process even faster, while simultaneously ensuring that all candidates’ records are kept accurate and up-to-date.

“Something we hear a lot from recruiters is that they are increasingly becoming bogged down in paperwork, and ensuring that candidate records are all up-to-date and compliant is causing many headaches. The new Candidate and Client portal is our solution to this issue and should speed up the recruitment process even more, leaving recruiters free to get on with the core aspects of their work.”
