More than third of European employees are not working at their full capacity and could do more if there was enough work for them to do. In contrast, 28% feel that they are overloaded whilst just 37% stated that their workload is about right. These findings come from the most recent survey by online recruitment specialist StepStone, which covered more than 8,700 job seekers across eight European countries.
Most underworked are the Germans and Norwegians with 46% and 44% respectively reporting that they could do much more. The Dutch employees appear to have the most balanced workload: only 12% of the respondents stated that they are overworked, whilst 54% have a workload that is just about right. Belgian employees are the most overloaded with 42% having more work than they can cope with.
The survey was conducted through StepStoneís online career sites and covered 8,713 job seekers in Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, France and the Netherlands. For fuller results please visit our web site at:
