A survey of UK workers by thefullercv.com has revealed that over half of us are unprepared for a sudden need to look for a new job.
With fears of redundancy increasing as businesses prepare for hard times, itís more important than ever to make sure youíre ready for a job hunt. ìBy not having an effective CV ready and waiting, you could be jeopardising your chances of getting back into work quickly.î says Rebecca Fuller, Managing Director of The Fuller CV.

When asked ìHow often do you update your CV?î 51% of respondents replied ëOnly when Iím job huntingí. 24% update their document at least every three months and 25% may only make updates a couple of times a year.
ìThere is no set rule saying you must update your CV at specific intervals, but you should look to review your document whenever you do something worthwhile in your current role.î commented Rebecca.
ìThink back over the last two years of your career. Can you remember all the successes youíve had that will persuade a future employer that youíre going to be a valuable addition to their company?î
ìYour CV is there to give the best possible impression of you to a prospective employer. Itís easy to see the differences between a document that has been hastily put together and one that has had the required time and attention committed to it and employers will use this as an obvious filter to weed out weaker candidates.î
