UK professional organisation leads the way

British Junior Chamber has changed its name to JCI UK

British Junior Chamber, the UK organisation that has helped to develop some of the worldís renowned leaders, has changed its name to JCI UK.

Professionals can now have the same opportunities as people like George Bush, with the non-profit organisation providing 18-40 year old professionals access to free training, personal / professional development and networking events.

The new branding will ensure that JCI UK is more readily identified as part of its 250,000 member-strong umbrella organisation, Junior Chamber International (JCI), which is a worldwide leadership development organisation active in more than 100 countries.

Founded 75 years ago, JCI UK has 36 regional junior chambers throughout England, Jersey and Northern Ireland.

Amanda Fitzsimmons, Marketing Director for JCI UK, says: The new identity will ensure that the JCI brand goes from strength to strength globally, and we are pleased to have contributed to this important change. This is the ultimate self-managed learning organisation where members are provided with opportunities to develop and enhance skills and competencies, which can benefit their careers
The organisation has also announced that Julia Lea will become National President in 2005, representing JCI UK on the international stage.

JCI UK has historically helped to develop many leaders, and will help many more in the coming years to make a difference to their companies and communities.
Parent organisation, JCI, has strong links with the Franklin Covey Institute, UNICEF, Executive Excellence, United Nations Secretariat and Careers in Europe.
