Learning solutions provider Thomson NETg is calling on HR directors, industry leaders and training experts to join a Training ThinkTank in the UK. Its main objectives will be to raise Board level perceptions of training and make it an integral part of corporate growth.
Thomson NETg believes HR professionals should work together to revolutionise UK plcís approach to training. By taking a more collaborative approach to training, businesses as a whole will benefit from a more highly skilled workforce.
The Training ThinkTank will meet quarterly to discuss topics such as skills shortages and increasing staff performance, as well as debate solutions to ongoing problems in the industry. Discussion papers and advice guides will be published after every meeting for interested parties to use. These will be available at the forumís dedicated website.
ìThe purpose of the Training ThinkTank is to help UK plcs draw up the roadmaps and frameworks which will support them in aligning training to business objectives,î said Joe Marcelle, UK MD at Thomson NETg.
ìDrawing on some of the best minds in the industry, we hope to be able to increase and improve training standards in the UK by working collaboratively and combining knowledge and experience. We hope to establish a working group of around ten people who are dedicated to changing perceptions of training within the UK,î he concluded.
