 If we compare the jobs held by our parents or grandparents, some of these positions are at risk of disappearing. Although the technological advance has reduced the demand for traditional career paths, this innovation has also increased the world of work and skills. 

What professions will be in demand in the future job market? Even if we cannot predict all positions at job boards in the future, here are the top occupations of the UK over the next 15 years.

Robotics Engineer

Robotics engineering is an occupation centre on designing and building machines and robots that imitate human actions. This engineer is also responsible for creating applications or autonomous machines for different companies including manufacturing, automotive, mining, and else. 

Since the job will be sought after by manufacturers or robot users, it is not surprising if it can be an excellent career. A degree in engineering specialized in robotics is required. Aside from that, Robotics engineers often have degrees in related fields such as manufacturing, electronic, mechanical, electrical, and more.

Care Worker

Care working has existed for many years but this job will be in high demand by 2039. In fact, the number of seniors will have increased meaning that Care workers will be much needed in the future. Known also as a support worker, the person will work in different areas including in someone’s home, senior centres, and within the community. 

A care worker has the responsibility to support people aged 75 and more with physical and social activities including eating and drinking, washing and dressing, shopping, and many others. This position requires good communication and listening skills. Patience and kindness are also major requirements.

eSports Coach

As electronic sports or eSports have become a part of people's lives, competitions in these games have also increased. This position involves coaching individual players or a team who want to participate in a professional league. Moreover, this person is also in charge of helping and overseeing different teams in various video game competitions. 

Apart from a college degree needed to be an eSports coach, some qualifications are also required. These include video game skills and experiences in professional eSports competitions. Diagnostics Technician

Recognized also as a watchdog in the digital age, a cybersecurity expert is expected to be in highest demand in the future. With the rise of cyber attacks, the need for qualified cyber experts has also increased. This position actually plays an important role in securing information systems. 

A Cybersecurity expert has to monitor, detect, inquire, and analyze the events for threat prevention and intervention. To get this job, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field. Obtaining cybersecurity certificates should be also considered in a Cybersecurity career.
