More than 3,000 people have enjoyed a charity fun day and helped raise thousands of pounds as part of a Midlands training and recruitment firm’s pledge to help a disabled child with vital alterations to her home.
eResponse Group, which has seven branches across the Midlands, raised more than £9,000 towards a £55,000 target through its Mia Foundation – launched earlier this year to support eight-year-old Mia Williams.
The family fun day in the grounds of Ragley Hall, Alcester, saw crowds flocking to see a mini circus, falconry display and performances from a local dance group. The day also featured a bouncy castle, inflatable slides and a host of arts and crafts stalls where local businesses showcased their products.
eResponse has committed itself to the ambitious target of raising £55,000 for Mia.
Mia, who lives in Rugby, was born without eyes and also has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. She has to be carried upstairs as well. But eResponse are raising funds to help her parents Dean and Fran to adapt their home.
Paul Alekna, managing director of eResponse Group, said: “Mia is an absolutely delightful little girl and had a fantastic day with her family and friends at the event.
“We had an amazing turnout with over 3,000 people helping raise a huge proportion towards our target. We have been holding various events already but we still have a long way to go before we reach our target and help Mia have the adaptations she needs to live her life to the fullest.
“On behalf of everyone here at eResponse I’d like to say a big thank you to all who came and made the day such a success.”
