The trendence UK Graduate Barometer Survey 2014 has just closed with a record 27,000 completions from students at more than 100 universities, making it the largest and most comprehensive student careers survey in the country. No other survey collects responses from students studying at such a large number of universities and uniquely, across all year groups.

We have increased the proportion of students taking part from the top 30 universities by 37 per cent and almost doubled the number submitting from Oxbridge.

We are also launching two new, specialist research products (Barometers) this year. One is a unique Law Barometer, based on a doubling of the number of students completing who plan a legal career.

We have also seen an increase in STEM females completing and their responses will form part of a second new Barometer in 2014 – the UK STEM Female Barometer.

The trendence UK Barometer Surveys are designed to help organisations understand how to engage their target students more effectively, maximise ROI in their graduate recruitment activity and benchmark themselves against competitors. We have asked students a number of new demographic questions this year - ethnicity, nationality, gender and type of school attended – which enable us to help graduate recruiters wanting to monitor diversity and social mobility.

In 2013, trendence boosted its UK capability by creating its first dedicated team in London.  Alexandra Kong is the new UK head of research and data, with UK account director Eimear Bryson responsible for existing client relationships and new business activity
