The Training Camp slashes Oracle certification time

Extra courses scheduled to cope with demand for Europeís fastest OCP qualification

Accelerated learning expert, The Training Camp, has cut the qualification time of its new Oracle course by half, offering Europeís fastest OCP certification.

The Oracle 10g OCP course is the updated version of Oracle 9i. The course normally takes around 14 days to complete, but now takes just seven days. This consolidation has meant The Training Camp has been able to add several more dates to its already packed schedule this summer to cope with demand.

An OCP qualification is a valuable, industry-recognised credential that signifies a proven level of knowledge and ability. At The Training Camp students learn the skills necessary to make them stand out from the competition. Topics include database components and architecture, user admin and security, database backups and recovery as well as globalisation support, to name a few.

Qualified Oracle database administrators can expect to earn on average 28 per cent more than non-qualified professionals. According to research from analyst house IDC, certified professionals handled 40 per cent more support calls per person, per day than uncertified staff. The IDC also found that companies who advocated certification reported 49 per cent less down-time than those that did not. For the majority of companies surveyed, the savings from increased effectiveness paid the costs of certification in less than nine months.

ìThis new course had proved popular with employees wanting to step up the career ladder over the summer,î said Rob Chapman, CEO and co-founder of The Training Camp. ìThe ability to complete this course in one week makes it very attractive to employees and employers alike.î

ìWith the UK soon to be entering into a skills crisis, the quicker employees can get qualified and back to work, the better. The fact that this course has been so popular is an indication that times might be changing,î he continued.
