The National Archives, at Kew, has appointed Mark Lamb as its Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development.
Markís career to date has largely been in the public sector and includes work at Royal Mail, Sussex Police and most recently Brighton and Hove City Council.
In his new role Mark will be helping to deliver a change management programme instigated by the new Chief Executive, Natalie Ceeney, who came to The National Archives eight months ago from The British Library. His main responsibilities will be to provide a supportive culture for staff which drives forward their development and enables The National Archives to achieve its objectives.
Mark said I’m really attracted to being part of an organisation that looks after historical manuscripts and makes them as widely available as possible, while at the same time being at the forefront of technological advances. I think these two demands make for a really interesting environment.
