The Beyond Card - Rewarding employees and boosting productivity

With the economic crisis bringing an end to the bonus culture in many UK industries, businesses still looking to keep their workforce motivated and incentivised need look no further than The Beyond Card.

New to the UK, The Beyond Card is a way to reward employees and boost productivity. Much like a loyalty card, The Beyond Card rewards employees going beyond the call of duty with discounts on holidays, restaurants, cinemas and spas.

In addition, card holders have access to over 150 VIP airport lounges worldwide and their very own lifestyle manager who, much like a concierge, is on hand to organise their lives, from finding gifts and booking holidays, to sourcing concert, theatre, festival or sports tickets that are typically hard to find.

The Beyond Card can help reward, motivate, engage and retain employees for as little as a £10 per month, per user cost to the employer.

It has been designed by Penni Pike, Sir Richard Branson's assistant of 32 years and a key figure in the creation of the Virgin Group, and Barnaby Lashbrooke, founder of the UK¹s largest virtual PA service, Time Etc.

Businesses can also configure the cards to their exact requirements, by branding them with a company logo or giving different perks to team members according to length of service or seniority. They can also opt for a tiered system, with more benefits unlocked as individuals hit their targets.

Commenting on the how The Beyond Card can help motivate staff, CEO Barnaby Lashbrooke, said: "We designed The Beyond Card to motivate employees and reward good work, but also to help employers stand out from rival firms, and attract the best candidates. The inbuilt lifestyle management service also means staff spend less time on Œpersonal admin' and more time on their work. Ultimately it's about recognising the value of staff and keeping your best team members on side."

Case Study

One firm to use The Beyond Card as a form of incentivising staff is IT Lab. The IT support provider introduced The Beyond Card to many of its employees in office locations around the world. It believes that implementing staff benefits have gone a long way to ensuring their appearance in this year's ŒSunday Times Top 100 Small Companies to Work For¹ rankings.

Commenting on the impact The Beyond Card has had on his business, IT Lab's CEO Sebastian Gray said: "Implementing The Beyond Card for our teams in London and Cape Town has worked extraordinarily well and I am sure was important in helping us to achieve our status as one of the top companies to work for in the UK.

"The team here has responded very positively to a benefit system that has real applications to their day to day lives not just in work but outside of it too.

"The benefits of course are equally reciprocal to our business, which thrives from a more happier and more productive staff that now have support in maintaining that all important work-life balance."
