The Best Connection Group has developed and launched a new Foundation Course to train all new recruits joining the company. The initiative is designed to reverse the current shortage of quality candidates in the market and position recruitment as an attractive career option.
Comprising a series of eight, self-study modules, the course teaches new recruits how the company and industry operate and work together. The course lasts between eight and twelve weeks depending on the individualís industry experience.
Andrew Sweeney, chief executive, The Best Connection, said: ìAs with most expanding organisations, The Best Connectionís growth is dependant upon attracting and retaining an efficient and knowledgeable workforce. By providing a thorough grounding in our industry and how the organisation operates, newcomers will be better equipped to become successful.î
During the course, each consultant attends four mandatory one-day Head Office training sessions which gives them the opportunity to meet colleagues and workmates from within the organisation. Head Office sessions encourage interaction amongst consultants with role play, flipchart work and individual presentations. Fully equipped training rooms recreate the feel of a branch office to simulate the operational environment and this enables delegates to demonstrate their understanding of all aspects of their job roles and provides valuable hands-on experience.
Due to the success of the Foundation Course the company has also introduced a tailored training course for branch managers. This incorporates all the fundamental key issues of managing a successful office and concentrates on assessments and appraisals.
