This yearís series of The Apprentice concluded with the dream job of working for Sir Alan Sugar being handed to Yasmina Siadatan. In a Monster poll hosted throughout this series of The Apprentice, Kate has consistently been voted the most popular of all contestants, with Yasmina coming a close second. However, ultimately it was Yasmina who won the series thanks to her business savvy and commercial awareness.

Monster.co.ukís Apprentice watcher observes:

Kate is now unemployed for the first time but there is little reason for her to worry, as other high quality Apprentice candidates have proven. Last yearís runner up Claire Young now has her own wedding planning business, whilst fellow contestant Jennifer Maguire has set up her own photographic studio. Jo Cameron, fired in series two, now runs an events company. One reason for Kate to be confident about finding another job is her excellent interpersonal skills. There are a number of business scenarios in which such skills can make a real difference:

- People with friendly, outgoing personalities are generally more enjoyable to work with, and are better at building office relationships

- In lines of work in which relationships are of high importance, such as PR, marketing and sales, an open personality is paramount to building key contacts

- In many industries, the ability to show empathy and understanding to colleagues is essential – especially relevant to professions such as HR, teaching and medical professions

- Employees generally enjoy working for people they can form a bond with, rather than managers with whom they canít connect, particularly within the context of industries such as hospitality and customer service

- Humour can go a long way – people react well to those who inject humour into their work and donít take themselves too seriously
