On 29 August, the UK’s fastest-growing graduate careers site targetjobs.co.uk receives a redesign in time for the new academic year, to achieve a forecasted one million users a month by November. Using responsive site design, targetjobs.co.uk and its sister site targetcourses.co.uk will be fully accessible across desktops, mobiles and tablets while it’s new look pages will improve the user experience by enabling them to find content more quickly. We have also created a new search functionality to help students find relevant jobs and courses more quickly.

Even before these changes, visits to targetjobs.co.uk from mobiles and tablets have increased by 100% in the past year – a sound indication that we will be giving students precisely what they want.

And this is only the start.

Over the next three months, targetjobs.co.uk will launch unique, high-profile ‘employer hubs’ where all information, jobs and advice on each recruiter will be found in one place. We will also be adding additional personalisation features to give our registered users valuable benefits such as saved search and favourite employers and to give TARGETjobs more data about our users’ preferences and website behaviour. This will enable us to offer graduate recruiters a greater range of targeted emails and campaigns to find exactly the right students and to increase the relevance of our communications to students.

Experience shows that improving the user experience, making access easier and increasing personalisation means more students, more engaged students, more focused students - and a better, more organised pool for recruiters to fish in.
